Royal Blood, The War on Drugs and The Charlatans are among the acts to be announced for the second BBC Radio 6 Music festival.
This year’s festival will be held on Tyneside, at the O2 Academy in Newcastle and the Sage in Gateshead on February 21, 22 and 23.
Last year’s inaugural festival was held at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, featuring performances by The National, Franz Ferdinand and The Horrors.
Other acts confirmed for this year’s event include The Fall, Interpol, Hot Chip, Maximo Park, Public Service Broadcasting, Jungle, Gruff Rhys, Wire, Mogwai, Kate Tempest, Gaz Coombes, British Sea Power, Jamie T, Young Fathers, Neneh Cherry, Jon Hopkins and Sleater-Kinney
DJ Lauren Laverne said: “I’m so excited that this year’s 6 Music Festival is taking us back to my home in the North East.
“It’s going to be an incredible weekend of music, not to be missed. The Festival is a celebration of the music and culture we and our listeners love so much.”
