Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian are the first acts to be revealed as headliners for this year’s Festival No.6.
Young Fathers, Kate Tempest, Rae Morris, Shura, Stornoway, The Bohicas and Fryars have also been confirmed to play the festival, in Portmeirion, North Wales.
The final headliner for the festival, held from September 3 to 6, will be announced in the coming months, with more acts to follow.
Belle and Sebastian, who are currently promoting their ninth album Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance, said: ““We’re very excited to be headlining No.6 on the Saturday night. We’ve always loved playing unusual, special places and Portmeirion definitely fits the bill.”
The festival is based at the home of cult TV series The Prisoner, which ran on ITV in 1967 and 1968, and was revived in 2009 starring Sir Ian McKellen.
The festival, which also features an electronic line up, will feature headline performances by DJ Harvey, and a UK festival exclusive from the 2 Bears
Other confirmed DJs include Bicep, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Gerd Jansen, Andrew Weatherall, Optimo, Ralph Lawson, Justin Robertson, Maurice Fulton and Mark E.
Festival director Luke Huxham said: “We’re tremendously excited about this year’s festival.
“Our first wave of artists and DJ’s is stronger than ever and there’s a lot more to come including our third main stage headline act, another headline DJ and a big second wave of live acts.
“We have a huge amount to announce on the culture, arts and food side of the festival which is an increasingly important part of the No.6 experience.
“There are also a few surprises up our sleeves – I think it’s safe to say it’s going to be our best festival yet.”
