Blak Hand Records release their third cassette of the year with Psych/Rock Stoke boys: Psyence, and their fresh new 5 track ‘A New Dawn EP’. Only available on cassette, it’s limited to 40 hand numbered Black on Black tapes available from the Blak Hand Records Bandcamp store – purchase here.
Stoke-on-Trent based PSYENCE formed in 2013 consist of Stephen Pye, Jamie Cartlidge, Jamie Bellingham, Ben Nixon, Joe Walsh. They’re an intense chemical reaction of face-melting riffs, dreamy yet crisply present vocals and groove-based rhythms full of thunder. Psyence have been locked away up north to slowly mature their recent EP. Harking back to their ‘60s psychedelic influences whilst bringing in modern, methodically crafted lyrics. The band will be playing at Shiine Cruise, Amsterdam on March the 24th.
