Thomas Traux will mark the release of his eighth studio solo album with a Manchester gig next month.
The American troubadour, who uses a range of self-made, experimental instruments, will release Jetstream Sunset on Psychoteddy Records on April 20.
His two month UK tour will include a date at Gullivers on Thursday, April 9.
Prior to that, Traux has shared Pancakes, one of the tracks to feature on the album.
For this album, he has called on the services of drummer Brian Vigilone, who has worked with Nine Inch Nails and Dresden Dolls, and is the current drummer of the Violent Femmes.
They originally met at an early Dresden Dolls gig in New York City.
Traux supported the Dolls on their 2006 European tour, and the two became friends.
Vigilone was always intrigued by Traux’s mechanical drum machines, so he jumped at the chance when he was invited to record some new material.
Traux said: “Brian stayed where I live sometimes, in a dilapidated old house/recording studio in Krefeld, Germany, called the Mansion Jansen. We spent a couple days just recording like madmen.”
