Starcrawler have recently announced their debut single ‘Ants’, which will be coming out on Rough Trade Records on Friday 12th May 2017. The single will be backed by B-side ‘Used to Know’ and will be released on limited edition blood splattered white vinyl 7” – 500 only world wide. The band are also set to play their first shows in the UK this May, in London and at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival. See full UK tour dates below.
The accompanying video for ‘Ants’ was filmed at their show in November 2016 at The Echo in Los Angeles, capturing the frenzied energy of the band, and Arrow’s wild stage presence. As Arrow explained in a recent interview… “I went through a period of time in sophomore year where I was really angry and frustrated, I wanted to start a band so badly because the band I had with my friends (before Starcrawler) had fallen apart. So I started watching live videos of The Runaways and studying Cherie Currie’s moves as well as Iggy Pop and Kiss…I slowly started to create this character, this alter ego maniac.”
Starcrawler will be releasing a new album sometime early next year, recorded over the past few months with Ryan Adams in his Pax AM studio in Hollywood. So watch this space.
