Echo and the Bunnymen

Echo and the Bunnymen and the Inspiral Carpets are the headline acts for all day indie festival at Manchester Academy on Saturday.

The Gigantic Indie All Dayer Vol.2 will run across Academy 1, 2 and Club Academy on Oxford Road, kicking off at 1.30pm and running right through until 11.30pm.

The festival’s main stage in Academy 1 will see performances from headliners Echo and the Bunnymen, as well as Inspiral Carpets, Pop Will Eat Itself, Gang of Four, Hurricane #1 and an opening slot from The Primitives.

The stage at Academy 2 will feature headliners The High, which will be the band’s first on stage reunion in more than 22 years, alt-rockers Eat, four piece Diesel Park West and ‘Which Way Should I jump?’ band the Milltown Brothers.

An acoustic stage in Club Academy will see stripped down performances from Echobelly, The Woodentops, Mark Morriss from The Bluetones and indie band BOB, who will play their first live show since 1993.
