Beirut release their new single ‘East Harlem’ b/w ‘Goshen’ (POMP 04) on 6th June 2011. Released via Zach Condon’s own label, Pompeii Records (via Forte Distribution), the single is available on limited edition blue or white 7” vinyl and digitally on 7th June. ‘East Harlem’ and ‘Goshen’ are the first new songs from Beirut since 2009’s March of the Zapotec EP revealing an expanded approach from a band that has always been nomadic. ‘East Harlem’ is an immediate pop song, with an upbeat uke, piano and trumpet melody. ‘Goshen’ balances out the mirth with heartfelt piano and intimate vocals.
