Having received acclaim from the likes of Gorilla Vs. Bear, The Fader, and the NME for the song ‘Doldrums’, taken from their last demo cassette, Fear of Men return with the 7” ‘Green Sea’, which sees the band combine the warmth and intimacy of their first home recordings with a more ambitious and textured production to present a bold, distinct sound.
Released on London’s Sexbeat (Fresh & Only’s, No Joy, White Fence) on the 18th of June and limited to 300 copies, the single was recorded in a basement studio in Wandsworth in early 2012 and features a musical saw, backwards guitar solo and layers of backing vocals processed through a near dilapidated Echo Chamber. ‘Green Sea’ is backed by the breezy hook-laden ‘Born’. The band are touring the UK with Best Coast in June.
