Mt. Misery
Hartlepool indie-pop trio Mt. Misery have shared the video for ‘Taken By The Tide’ – the latest single from their debut album ‘Once Home, No Longer’, due out June 25th via Prefect Records.
Initially a solo-project for multi-instrumentalist Andrew Smith, Mt. Misery ‘officially’ became a band in early 2019.
Smith says:
“The music and lyrics for ‘Taken by the Tide’ were brought to the band by Ste quite late into the making of the album. We had a great time recording together, arranging it as we went along and shaping it into something that feels like a Mt. Misery song.”
Speaking of the video he added:
“We filmed with Jodie Canwell on a very cold morning in Hartlepool. It was the first time we’d seen each other in ages because of lockdowns, so we were just excited to be able to talk in person again. We pretty much just hung out at the Headland for a couple of hours while Jodie filmed.”
