Riding on the wave of a No.1 album, the diversely talented Bombay Bicycle Club have announced ‘Come To’ as their next single. This will be released on August 18th through Island Records, and will undoubtedly be the soundtrack to the summer festival season.
The album ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’ – their fourth in five years – saw the band that are not even halfway through their twenties break through the traditional confines of indie, diversifying at an astonishing rate. In making ‘one of 2014’s most exhilarating returns’ (NME), Bombay Bicycle Club have become one of the UK’s most innovative and important young bands.
The fourth single from the album, ‘Come To’, further cements an evolution in sound for the perpetual re-inventors who have secured their status in electro-pop, creating stunning dance-inducing songs tied together with Jack Steadman’s signature vocals. This single, with its uplifting and stirring melody, will see the band’s music appealing to its widest audience yet. With a strong Motown-inspired bass line and beautiful layered instrumentation, ‘Come To’ is guaranteed to set festival stages alight this summer.
Having completely sold out European and UK tours at the beginning of the year, Bombay Bicycle Club followed with a critically acclaimed Brixton Academy show in London and a huge sold out U.S. tour including a tent bursting slot at Coachella. This month they embark on the UK festival circuit, commencing with Glastonbury before taking in T In The Park, Latitude and headlining Reading & Leeds Radio 1/NME stage.
