Hailing from the music-soaked streets of Manchester, CAESAR are an erratic four piece fronted by Will Carkeet with Teo Castlevecchi, George Whalley and Sean Toohey. Making up a band whose very stage presence speaks for itself, and known for handing out sugar coated sweets during their live set, CAESAR bring a little youth back into the city.
After completing their first small tour in October of last year, CAESAR are proud to announce their first cassette single ‘Hazey’ b/w ‘Tangled’ on Blak Hand Records, with more tour plans for later this year.
Describing their sound as ‘Alien Music’, CAESAR push the creative experimentation of indie and shoegaze to its limit, writing five minute plus experiences that wander through a dream-like state. Their live show promises to keep an audience captivated with fluid synchronisation between bass and drums, combined with catchy riffs and melodies.
Caesar recorded the title track ‘Hazey’ in late July 2015 at the infamous Eve Studio in Bredbury where BC CAMPLIGHT, Everything Everything, New Order and The Charlatans have recorded. The track came together over two days but took a six month period to completely arrange. Dripping with shoe-gaze vocals and a twangy guitar, ‘Hazey’ impresses from the very first listen.
