Purity Ring is excited to reveal their video for their song ‘Fineshrine’. Directed by Young Replicant (www.youngreplicant.com), the video is available for your viewing pleasure below.

‘Fineshrine’ is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming debut album Shrines (reviewed here), which will be released by 4AD on July 24th. Pitchfork recently awarded the song ‘Best New Track’ and called it “Purity Ring’s finest track yet”. The song is their most anthemic to date – a blood-soaked love song with mammoth, ear-burrowing production. Young Replicant’s video is the perfect visual manifestation of ‘Fineshrine’s’ grisly grandeur – an epic and surreal widescreen take on singer Megan James’ chilling lyrics.

On July 24th – the US release date of Shrines – the band will be playing a very special, immersive in-the-round performance at Le Poisson Rouge in New York. An exclusive pre-sale has been announced via the band’s website. Fans can purchase tickets with an exclusive screen-printed release show poster and a copy of Shrines on CD or LP.

Corin Roddick and Megan James are the Halifax/Montreal-based duo that comprises Purity Ring. They are currently nearing the end of a tour with Dirty Projectors in north America, and have confirmed they will return to the UK to headline London’s Scala on 20th November.
