The video for the lead single from her forthcoming album ‘Biophilia’ has been directed by movie maker Michel Gondry (External Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep).
This is their eighth collaboration, firstly in 1993 with ‘Human Behaviour’ and most recently ‘Declare Independence’ in 2007. Gondry provides another trademark inventive storyboard, blending various animation techniques with live action footage. These images did not feature in the recent live residency at the Manchester International Festival, though she does don the infamous large ginger wig.
‘Biophilia’ is released on September 26th
