The EP generally had a moodier edge to it, amongst a range of emotions, built on the foundation of a groovy bassline and monotonous finger picking. Andrea Estella’s vocal sounded more like a hushed Cat Power, though this new tune brings a change of personality and style.
‘Bad Street’ is playful funky indie pop. Andrea sings more open mouthed, reminiscent of Morcheeba’s Skye Edwards, over kitch synth bloops, wet cheeky wah wah chords and a kick-snare-kick-kick-snare beat.
The switch in mood intrigues as to what the rest of Twin Sister’s forthcoming debut album will be like.
The album ‘In Heaven’ due for release on 26th September through Domino Records.
