Oakland’s Body Double have released ‘Ready To Die’, the third single from upcoming debut album ‘Milk Fed’, due out September 18th via Zum. A video for the song has been directed by Dalton Blanco of the band Prissy Whip & co-stars earthworms and grasshoppers.
Songwriter and bass player Noah Adams said of the track:
“‘Ready To Die’ is a straightforward rocker about a spiritually broken individual who fantasises about dying but is too noncommittal for suicide. It’s semi-autobiographical in that it was written after my life had fallen apart and I was getting off drugs. Around this time scores of people were dying from Fentanyl overdoses and I found myself to be grief-stricken but also envious.”
