Having just released his debut LP on Fuzz Club, Stockholm-based post-punk project NONN (the moniker of Christian Eldefors, also of The Orange Revival) is back with a brand new video for ‘Hills’ and a run of UK tour dates, including a stop at the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia.
Taken from NONN’s self-titled debut, ‘Hills’ is shot through a minimalistic post-punk template with a hypnotic darkwave drive. The motorik drum-machine percussion and unremitting bassline take centre-stage whilst being underpinned by forlorn vocals, jangling post-punk guitars and programmed feedback and noise.
The accompanying video is a black and white piece exploring the vast, idyllic landscape of Christian’s homeland Sweden– the gloomy, greyscale footage of woodlands, lakes and mountains acts as the perfect counterpart to the track’s chilling and immersive sounds.
