Meet and Jam
Meet & Jam has launched a series of UK-wide Jam Nights which will culminate in a Grand Finale at The 100 Club in London. They are on the hunt for the best jamming musicians AND original acts from across the UK. From bands and solo artists to vocalists, guitarists, drummers and trombonists, everyone can apply to play at one of the 12 Meet & Jam Nights across the country between now and January including a date at Manchester’s Soup Kitchen.
The best of the bunch (3 original acts and up to 30 musicians) will be invited to play at The 100 Club on 21st January 2016 at an exclusive, industry packed event.
Island Records, Spinnup, PRS & Jack Daniel’s will all be there and the prizes are BIG.
The winning original act will receive a development deal with Island Records, whilst the runners up receive free PRS membership. For the individual jamming musicians, the best in each instrument category will win a brand new instrument and be crowned the ‘Meet & Jam guitarist / bassist / drummer etc. for 2015. Thursday 15th October – The Nest, Bath
Thursday 22nd October – The Cellar, Oxford
Friday 23rd October – Underbelly, Hoxton
Monday 2nd November – Half Moon, Putney
Friday 13th November, Studio 2, Liverpool
Friday 20th November – Underbelly, Hoxton
Thursday 26th November – Soup Kitchen, Manchester
Thursday 3rd December – Blue Lagoon, Bristol
Monday 7th December – Half Moon, Putney
