Kiyoko, the project of electronic pioneers Synkro and Bering Strait, will headline an extraordinary evening of art and music alongside Manchester trip-hop duo Bernard & Edith in the unique setting of Whalley Range’s St Margaret’s Church.
Taking place on Friday November 26, Apollo Records signees Synkro and Bering Strait AKA Kiyoko will take the stage to play tranquill electronic jams from their well-received EPs and longplayer ‘Sea of Trees,’ before Bernard & Edith perform a set made up of Nick Delap’s opium-den like soundscapes and Greta ‘Edith’ Caroll’s unconventional, archetype-defying vocal.
West Wolf, Greta ‘Edith’ Caroll’s project dedicated to showcase the art, music and fashion of local artists, proclaim the night as the ‘fourth West Wolf experiment,’ following the breath-taking Bernard & Edith album release show in the same venue last year. On the night, Kiyoko and Bernard & Edith will be joined by actor and poet Hamish Rush, who will be reading his work, and dancer Holly Rush, who will be performing an exclusively choreographed dance piece to the solo music of Greta ‘Edith’ Caroll.
Yem Gel will also perform and art will play a key part in the evening, with Yasmin Lever, an artist who has previously worked with Boiler Room, Apollo Records, and Soup Kitchen amongst others, showcasing her illustration and design work in the picturesque venue.
Tickets are just £4 and can only be purchased on the door.
