London based singer Natalie Bang Bang will release her new single Dangerous When Wet through Speedy Wunderground on November 3.
The single by Natalie Bang Bang, real name Natalie Chahal, is the label’s ninth release, which will be available on a limited edition 7 inch.
Citing Patti Smith, Talking Heads and The Velvet Underground as influences, Natalie grew up playing in punk bands but has now gone solo.
Speedy Wunderground is the brainchild of producer Dan Carey, who produces all of the label’s releases himself at his South London studio.
All of the label’s releases are recorded in one day, with overdubs kept to a minimum with the recordings hitting the shelves as soon as possible.
Artists who have previously worked with the label include Steve Mason & Emiliana Torrini, The Archie Bronson Outfit, Toy and Natasha Khan.
On working with Dan Carey, Natalie said: “When I read up about Speedy, I knew that Dan’s process was gonna be fun for me because that’s the way I like to work.
“Capture the magic, don’t over complicate it. Dan and I had never worked together before this session. In fact we weren’t even thinking of it as a Speedy session, we were just gonna have a jam.”
