The Lovely eggs have shared the video for the first single, ‘I Shouldn’t Have Said That’, from their forthcoming album. Directed by Casey Raymond, the video features The Lovely Eggs duo of Holly and David as well as an appearance from Bob from Twin Peaks, perfect for giving you the creeps for Halloween!

‘I Shouldn’t Have Said That’ is due out on Friday 3rd November 2017 on limited edition black and white 7” vinyl and accompanied by bespoke artwork by Turner-Prize nominated outsider artist David Shrigley. Lurching, reeling, and spitting with anger and regret, the song perfectly encapsulates the kitchen-sink realism of a good old verbal brawl. Heavier than anything they’ve done before, the track is inspired by the motoric Krautrock of Neu!, with David’s drum beats laying the foundation for a blistering, in-your-face slice of punk rock attitude and Holly’s vocals a screaming drawl, with swirling synths and distorted guitar providing an intense psychedelic squall. The single is backed by brand new exclusive B Side ‘Melody For Meathead’– yet another in-your-face rant, this time taking on the nationalistic Mail-reading meatheads of Great Britain.
