Friday the 4th of August saw Off The Record, a new music industry conference and emerging talent showcase burst onto the Manchester scene. By day a meeting of those involved in the music business willing to share what they know with those that don’t, or just want to know more. This included DJs, label owners, bloggers, radio presenters/producers, musicians and even politicians, the list goes on. By night more than 30 acts picked by the many of the people speaking throughout the day. Proceedings started early and ended late. With it being a long day and a lot to take in we thought best to ask a few of our writers to give their take on the day.
