Mass Datura are in town today playing with Black Mountain and have kindly brought a gift for Silent Radio readers, their brand new video to Feel Me Human which can be viewed below.
Last month the London 5 piece released their first single ‘Feel Me Human’, as a double-sided 7” including ‘Dream Thief’ on Side B. It’s presented with original artwork by Thomas Rowe (Guitar/Vocals), which the band says “is to remind us of our childish essence”.
The track is triggered by soaring vocal harmonies over the balanced yet uneasy Mellotron and pedal steel sustained notes that then drop you into an evil pit of odd time. Singer Thomas Rowe contrasts the uplifting tone of the music with his lyrics inspired by childhood and rejection.
The single is accompanied with a bizarrely captivating music video by Florida video artist N. Silvestris, using 80s Tachyons video synth technology in an attempt to represent the creation of a modern day human being. ‘Feel me Human’ is taken from the forthcoming album ‘Sentimental Meltdown’ which is due tobe released in Spring 2017.
Mass Datura will be supporting Black Mountain’s 2016 UK Tour in November on the following dates:
15th Nov – Gorilla, Manchester
16th Nov – Fiddlers, Bristol
17th Nov – Tufnell Park Dome, London
They will also be supporting L.A. Witch at the Shacklewell Arms on the 18th November 2016
