Palma Violets, Fat White Family, The Amazing Snakeheads and Slaves have been announced as the line-up for this year’s NME Awards Tour.
It is the 20th anniversary of the tour, which has helped to launch the careers of the likes of Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers.
Headliners Palma Violets are playing the tour for the second time, after playing the opening slot in 2013.
Fat White Family are currently riding the crest of a wave, after winning the Philip Hall Radar Award at last year’s NME Awards for their debut album Champagne Holocaust, and Glasgow rockers The Amazing Snakeheads showcased their Birthday Party influenced sound to debut album Amphetamine Ballads.
London based two-piece Slaves will take the coveted opening slot, with their raucous sets gaining them a reputation on the live scene.
Mike Williams, NME editor, said: “Every year this tour brings together the most breathtaking acts new music has to offer, and 2015 is no different.
“I think next year’s line-up showcases everything that’s great about British rock music right now, and so to have these four eclectic bands all head out on the road together in our 20th year of putting the tour on is especially thrilling.”
