We have trawled through the gigs for this month and are pleased to offer our recommendations of shows in a variety of genres. There should be something for everyone here.

Villagers – New Century Hall
Villagers have been a prominent force in the indie scene for over a decade and have been shortlisted for The Mercury Prize twice! It’s understandable that fans are excited for their upcoming gig at the New Century Hall, starting at 7pm, to bring the last month of 2024 in with a bang. Tickets are on sale now!
Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder Jones – Albert Hall
Perhaps Welsh indie takes your fancy or maybe you want to treat yourself to two seasoned professionals entertaining for the evening, if that’s the case, Manchester Albert Hall is the venue for you to be at. Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder Jones are expected to host a brilliant show from 7pm until 11pm.
Codespeaker – Star and Garter
Following the release of their record ‘Scavenger, post-metal band Codespeaker are bringing us some bangers from the capital of Scotland! Doors will open for the show from 7pm.

Remi Wolf – Albert Hall
Amassing a dazzling half a million followers on Instagram alone, American pop-star Remi Wolf is expected to take the UK by storm next month and will be stopping by Manchester’s Albert Hall for an enthralling set that you don’t want to miss. You can see the star take the stage from 7pm!

Famous – YES Basement
In the words of Robert Davidson, ‘with such a broad and dense sound, it feels easier to define what Famous aren’t before tackling what they are.’ Famous are alt-rock stars in the making that have gained popularity following their beginnings in London some 7 years ago and they prefer their artistry to be taken as ‘emotional stand-up comedy’! One thing is for sure, this band knows how to put on a show. You guessed it, it’s another 7pm start on our list.
The Horrors – YES Pink Room
They may have lost two band members since their last record 7 years ago, but that won’t stop The Horrors from persisting! Following the release of their recent single, The Horrors are embarking on a tour that will showcase their classic garage rock sound in all its glory, with doors opening at 7pm.

Dummy & Three Quarter Skies – YES Basement
Dummy is a rock band from Los Angeles comprised of Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O’Dell, and Joe Trainor. They are coming to YES with support from the Three Quarter Skies, which will undoubtedly culminate in a fantastic evening. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Nilufer Yanya – Academy 2
Specialising in Indie and alternative rock, singer-songwriter Nilufer Yanya will bring her raw talent to Manchester’s Academy 2 this month in what promises to be a spectacular show. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Idles – Apollo
Tangk became their second #1 album this year in the UK, so it’s unsurprising that you can find the punk rock icons, Idles, at the O2 Apollo in Manchester on three consecutive nights this month, starting December 6th. 7pm is the time to be there!
Hamish Hawk – Albert Hall
Hamish Hawk’s career is on an upward trajectory right now, the ‘Scottish Album of the Year’ nominee will be supporting the band TRAVIS at Manchester’s Albert Hall this month. Get there for 7pm!
808 State – New Century Hall
808 State are an English electronic music group formed in 1987 in Manchester by Graham Massey, Martin Price and Gerald Simpson. Celebrating the 35th anniversary of ‘Ninety’, the band will be performing at the New Century Hall this month to give you a dose of electro nostalgia. Set starts at 7pm.
GUN – Academy 2
They have done it all, from touring with The Rolling Stones to achieving four UK top 20 albums and eight UK top 40 singles. The Scottish hard-rock band will perform at Academy 2 for a night of unmissable tunes. It’s another 7pm start folks!
Straight Arrows – Big Hands
We’re excited to give a big British welcome to the Sydney based garage- punk band, comprising of members, Owen Penglis, Alex Grigg, Will Harley, and Adam Williams. Their show will begin at 9pm.
Sam Fender – Co-Op Live
The English born star has had an intense and exciting start to his career, achieving success after success since his debut album ‘Hypersonic Missiles’ was released in 2019. The musician will perform at the Co-op Live arena from 6.30pm.

Alabama 3 – The O2 Ritz
Alabama 3 are a British musical group founded in Brixton, London, in 1995. Ranging from acid house to electronic, you never quite know what to expect from the group, though we can guarantee a fun evening that kicks off at 6pm!
Julia Holter – Band On The Wall
A genius in the art-pop field, Julia Holter is set to display her vast musical talents this month at Band On The Wall. You can see Julia’s captivating show from 7pm.

Lola Young – New Century Hall
A Brit Award nominee and vocalist for a John Lewis Christmas Advert, the talented rising star Lola Young will be putting on a show at New Century Hall, a show you can catch from 7pm.

Cosmic Crooner – YES Pink Room
Inspired by bossa nova, classic cinema and progressive 60s/70s soul music, the Amsterdam based artist has been making his mark in the industry with a modern sound that encapsulates all things vintage. You can watch Cosmic Crooner from 7.30pm, only at YES!
Midge Ure- Bridgewater Hall
A Scottish icon who has enjoyed success in several bands and co-writer of Band-Aid’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’. Midge Ure is treating loyal fans to a show at the Bridgewater Hall from 7pm.
Eyehategod and Goatwhore – Rebellion
Watch out as these two metal titans take over Manchester for a massive night of pure heaviness. You can mosh from 6:30pm till late!

Dayseeker – The O2 Ritz
Dayseeker are an American post-hardcore band formed in Orange County, California, in 2012. They consist of vocalist Rory Rodriguez, guitarist Gino Sgambelluri, bassist Ramone Valerio and drummer Zac Mayfield. You can watch the band rock out from 7pm.

Dylan John Thomas – The O2 Ritz
The young star who’s journey to success has been incredibly satisfying to witness, from spending his days busking to performing at large venues – the singer songwriter is going on his biggest tour yet and you can see him at the O2 Ritz from 7pm.
PERENNIAL – Star and Garter
Connecticut art-punk trio PERENNIAL are expected to stop by the Star and Garter to give their UK fans something to talk about! Be there for 8pm.

Chameleons – Albert Hall
Known for their atmospheric, guitar-based sound, the Chameleons are regarded as one of the most underrated Manchester bands of the 1980s. If you want to give them their flowers, you can show support at Manchester’s Albert Hall from 7pm.
The Twang – The O2 Ritz
Formed in 2004 in Birmingham, The Twang have released five studio albums and garnered widespread acclaim after an NME article giving them exposure. You can see them play at the Ritz this month from 6.30pm!
Paul McCartney – Co-Op Live
This former Beatle and living legend needs no introduction! The Liverpudlian icon will be performing for two consecutive nights (14th and 15th) and both shows begin at 6pm.

Hardwicke Circus – Star and Garter
The Sunday Times reported on Hardwicke Circus as “the five-piece band who are not only turning heads with the confident glide in their stride, they’re literally bulletproof”. If that doesn’t entice you to a show, I’m not sure what will. Doors open at 7pm.

The Sharon Shannon Big Band – Tribute to Shane MacGowan
An opportunity to witness the Sharon Shannon Big Band deliver a captivating tribute to the late Shane MacGowan, holding particular significance as Shane previously toured with the Big Band, leaving an indelible mark on their musical journey. The night will be a tribute to Shane’s songwriting and Irish music as a whole – with Christmas fast approaching, a rendition of the iconic ‘Fairytale of New York’ could be on the set list! Doors will open at 7pm
