Boston ambient duo Arms and Sleepers have unveiled Swim Team, the lead single from their new album.
The track, which takes influence from instrumental hip-hop, R&B and electronic music, is taken from their first album in more than three years, also entitled Swim Team.
Max Lewis and Mirza Ramic formed Arms and Sleepers in 2006, and have since released 16 EPs and albums, as well as writing music for films and TV.
Ramic said the album, which is available now through Fake Chapter Records, represents a shift in musical focus from 2011’s The Organ Hearts.
“The album is definitely a departure from our previous releases – it has more to the point, concise compositions with a lot of focus on beats and different synth sounds,” he said.
