Announcing its winners of the Independent Festival Awards 2018, The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) has named intergalactic rock-rave outfit Henge as the ‘Live Act Of The Year’.
Taking place at a packed-out event in Sheffield, the event was hosted by Glastonbury Festival’s Ben Challis as part of the AIF’s acclaimed annual Festival Congress.
In an unprecedented victory, self-professed ‘Cosmic Dross’ act Henge scooped the coveted live gong for their sensory loading live shows. Speaking about the honour, frontman Zpor said:
“We have never seen an ‘award’ before. The intelligent societies that we have visited in other parts of the galaxy do not have such things… for the very concept of competition in art does not exist there. Nevertheless! The customs here on Planet Earth are intriguing to us and we are pleased to be honoured by your species in this manner.”
Henge have recently released their debut album ‘Attention Earth!’ and are currently on a tour of the UK.
