With more UK live dates on the way, Norway’s Casiokids have announced the release of their next single ‘Dresinen’, out through Moshi Moshi on June 25th.

Taken from their debut album ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’ which was released earlier this year, also on Moshi Moshi, ‘Dresinen’ has been remixed by Au Revoir Simone’s Annie Hart.

The release of ‘Dresinen’ accompanies the following Casiokids European live dates this summer:

29.06.12 UK, London, Leefest

30.06.12 UK, Gloucestershire, Winterwell festival

Casiokids’ debut UK LP release, ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’ came to fruition within the band’s rehearsal space at the newly established Bergen Kjøtt (a converted old abattoir also home to Datarock and Røkyskopp). The tracks were also recorded at the band’s own pace, all within the same timeframe. As a result, the record is much more cohesive than their collection of previous singles and unlike anything Casiokids have released thus far.

It has earnt them critical praise worldwide and saw them be awarded with a Spellemann Award (the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy).

This lovingly animated clip was created by Bristol’s Rumpus Animations. Casiokids front man Ketil Kinden Endresen explained: “I’m really happy Rumpus Animation could do the Dresinen (‘the draisine’) music video for us. It’s a visual feast, a Mardi Gras of colours and fun, and manifests the pleasures of the lost and forgotten transportation gem, thedraisine.
