TOY’s much anticipated self-titled debut album, heralded by Mojo as ‘British Alt Rock’s finest debut of 2012, will be released by Heavenly Recordings on Monday 10th September.
The album will be preceded by the release of a new single, Lose My Way on Monday 3rd September 2012. The 7” single, features the B-Side Bright White Shimmering Sun, a live favourite which does not appear on the album. Both tracks were recorded during the spring of 2012 with Dan Carey in his South London studio as part of the album sessions.
TOY have also recently announced details of a headline UK tour in October following the release of their debut album. The tour takes in their biggest headline show to date at London’s Heaven on Wednesday 24th October.
The band recently played at this year’s Field Day Festival, supported Primal Scream on a number of Scottish dates and have played various festival dates over the summer including the Reading & Leeds weekender and most recently End Of The Road. TOY complete the years UK festival run with Bestival and Festival No. 6 in Portmerion.
