Breton have released the video for their brand new track called ‘Got Well Soon’ and its a real pleasure for Silent Radio to preview it here:
Lyrically the song is about inclusivity and its flipside. Peer pressure to fit in or go it alone – be in the gang or be rejected. This theme is reflected in the video, a short, disturbing film that was originally made for Breton’s show at the BFI in January this year as part of the British Short Film Festival.
The song was recorded, along with the whole album, at Funkhaus Studios, a series of buildings – some now abandoned – in Berlin. They housed 3,000 communist workers who used to write and broadcast propoganda in the form of news, drama and music to the entire Eastern Bloc. It was also the home of the Communist Youth radio station.
