Kiran Leonard opened the main stage at the inaugural BBC Radio 6 Music Festival on Saturday. A highlight was the six and a half minute long version of ‘Geraldo’s Farm’ – complete with violin solo – which closed his set, perfectly showcasing the new four-piece live band. The singles ‘Dear Lincoln’, ‘Port-Ainé’ and ‘Wild Walks’ were also performed, as well as a brand new song ‘Don’t Make Friends With Good People’.
In the run up to the festival, Kiran was a guest on Steve Lamacq’s Round Table show. He was also interviewed alongside Damon Albarn and Maxine Peake for BBC Radio 4’s Front Row programme, performing a special stripped-down version of ‘Dear Lincoln’.
Kiran Leonard is set to play his first ever headline shows in April, as well supporting School Of Language (AKA David Brewis from Field Music). Full list of shows below.
