The London lo-fi quartet has announced a six date tour in support of their brand new self-titled third album that’s out now on Fortuna POP! Headed by frontman Wesley Patrick Gonzalez, the album sees the band enter a new phase of maturity and sophistication, giving Gonzalez a forum to showcase his songwriting talents and love of classic pop.
Somewhere in between the sounds of the psych pop pioneers of the 60s and the Laurel Canyon cowboys of the 70s, there’s a quintessential English twist to their songs. Drawing their inspiration from the likes of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Judee Sill, and Harry Nilsson, the four-piece has brought in strings and horns for the first time to give the album a bigger and fuller sound.
It was recorded at Lightship 95, a converted boat on the Thames, where ex-Test Icicles/Kasma man Rory Atwell (Veronica Falls, Male Bonding, The Vaccines) was at the helm of the production process.
