As he prepares to drop his third album ‘Luck’, Tom Vek has announced a new video for his forthcoming Single ‘Sherman (Animals in the jungle)’, which is due for release on the 9th of June on Moshi Moshi Records.
Inspired by Tom Wolfe’s novel, the Bonfire of the Vanities, it’s described as a searing comment on state of moral ambivalence. Packed with a bass-line of Kanye West-rivalling proportions, synthesizer sound progressions reminiscent of Prince’s ‘Kiss’, it will have your head bang away in unison as the angry funk growls through your body.
Filmed at Town Hall Hotel, Bethnal Green in London, it shows the dynamic of two dysfunctional characters looking for some sort of gratification despite being entangled in a doomed situation.
