Following the already impressive music line-up featuring the likes of Beck, London Grammar, Bonobo and more, Festival No. 6 has announced its first wave of arts and culture acts. Whether it’s best-selling authors, comedians, poets or film-makers, the three-day event will have some of the most prolific names of acts in their specific fields:

A special centenary Dylan Thomas tribute featuring Rhys Ifans; a literary line-up including author and creator of The Fast Show – Charlie Higson, fellow Fast Show star Simon Day as well as Damon Albarn/Bjork-collaborator Shlomo, the World Record beatboxer. Julian Cope, one of Britain’s most influential songwriters, will read from his debut novel One Three One.
91-year-old author Harry Leslie Smith will explain that the future is ours for the taking and award-winning Young British Artist Gavin Turk will discuss his career. In addition to this, Letters Live featuring Matt Berry (The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd) and top comedian Sara Pascoe will also be there.
For your fair share of comedy giggles, this year’s carefully curated bill will be consisting of the likes of Josh Widdicombe, Henning Wehn, Robin Ince, Tony Law, Phil Kay, Sara Pascoe, James Acaster and more.
Festival No. 6 takes place from the 5th until the 7th of September in the village of Portmeirion, Wales, home of cult TV series The Prisoner. It’s the only festival in the UK to boast its own annual carnival, resident choir and composer-in-residence.
