This year’s Dot To Dot festival will be hitting Manchester on Friday the 23rd of May and will have its biggest line-up to date. The multi venue and multi city (Manchester, Bristol,Nottingham) festival now in its ninth year brings together some of the freshest new talent and also the more established acts in music.
Not only does Dot To Dot have a massive 14 hour long line-up, it can also brag to be one the best bargains around with a ticket costing just £20. (get your tickets HERE)
Here’s a selection of acts that Silent Radio can highly recommend out of the acts playing. Drenge, Peace, The Pizza Underground (Macaulay Culkin’s band playing covers of Velvet Underground songs with the lyrics changed to be about pizza eg. Waiting For The ‘Delivery’ Man), Ezra Furman, Courtney Barnett, Rhodes, Slaves and list goes on.
Dot To Dot Organiser Anton Lockwood (of DHP Family) said “We’ve got so many hot new acts coming to Dot to Dot 2014 that we’ve had to increase the number of venues! Of course it’s great to see the likes of Peace, Real Estate and Drenge on the line-up who need no introduction but we really pride ourselves of giving fresh young artists one of their first chances to prove themselves to a festival crowd.”
The Manchester venues for this year will be The Ritz (best dance floor in town), Gorilla, Joshua Brooks, Deaf Institute, Sound Control, Attic, The Thirsty Scholar, Satan’s Hollow and Brew Dog.
