The Pearl Harts are a female blues rock duo based in London. Royal Blood and The Black Keys are currently at the forefront of this popular style so now it’s time for the sisterhood to make a stand. The Pearl Harts will officially release their bone-crunching debut single ‘Skeleton Made of Diamonds’ with B-side ‘Aint That The Way’ on the 1st December 2014 with Gravy Records (God Damn, Bad Grammar, Divorce), accompanied by a British Horror inspired video produced by David Lieb.
The band have previously teased the online world with demos prior to this release and achieved widespread national attention, including airplay from XFM’s John Kennedy, Kerrang Radio, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. BBC Radio 1’s Gemma Cairney became an official fan personally inviting the band to perform live on her TV chat show, plus online coverage from Clash, Artrocker and The 405. For two girls who met on the road whilst in other bands and ran away together describing themselves as “outlaws”, this journey is off to an outstanding organic start.
The natural onstage chemistry between Kirsty (lead vocals/guitar) and Sara (drums/vocals) is best displayed in their live show where they make the biggest sound possible with just two members. This engaging, energetic rock ‘n’ roll experience takes inspiration from rock heavyweights such as Led Zeppelin, Them Crooked Vultures, Black Sabbath and Pearl Jam. The girls also mix live looping and samples combining blues rock to a new and ever-growing audience.
They write with an openness that people can rock out to, singing about making deals with the devil, the open road, bad acid trips, the evils of money and long youthful summers. These girls are making a huge live sound that has to be seen to be believed, so catch them at one of their UK dates this December.
