Former Orange Juice frontman Collins, will talk about how his music changed following a cerebral haemorrhage in 2005, and will also perform live and screening his acclaimed new film “The Possibilities are Endless”.
Edwyn said: “I’m delighted to be in Liverpool for Sound City, I’ve always felt an affinity for the place.
“Back in the Orange Juice days we were regulars in the city playing at places like Eric’s. I’ve always had great support from Liverpool and I always look forward to coming back.”
Organisers of the festivae have also announced that Dave Haslam will again host an In Conversation programme, featuring The Vaccines’ Justin Young and Freddie Cowan, as well as Liverpudlian singer and record label boss Jane Weaver.
The festival’s popular How? Sessions will return for its third year, and include Everything Everything talking about their career to date.

The Sound City conference, including the In Conversation events, takes place on May 21 and 22, and the music festival takes place on May 22, 23 and 24.
