Dancehall have released their newest video for ‘Virgin’, which sees us following the group into their local offy and capturing their pre-practice routine. Speaking on the video, guitarist Craig Sharp says, “The idea was to shoot the whole video in various newsagents near our practice space. Going to a newsagents to load up on Polish beer, and maize-based snacks for the studio, has become a bit of a ritual for us, and it seemed fun to glorify that fairly normal event in slo-mo. It was shot by our drummer’s brother, William Keeler and directed by me.”

Lyrically, Timothy V (singer/bassist) says ‘Virgin’ is “a nod to the pressures of modern youth and the loss of it through advertising, media, sex, social media, etc. A faint farewell to the clichéd values, that they have been built upon, and a repositioning of rock ‘n’ roll’s tired message.”

The record is released on 7″ vinyl courtesy of the band’s own label, Anti Vibe Music Group & Strong Island Records. To purchase go to dancehall.bandcamp.com.
