With both local and external talent alike forming the nucleus of this year’s line-up, Manchester’s annual commemoration of all that is paisley has once again returned to the forefront. The seventh annual edition of Manchester Psych Fest takes place across five stages in three great Manchester venues on Friday 30 August.
Alongside an eclectic mix of artistic exhibitions and a sizable spectrum of food stalls no doubt capable of supplying yet another of Napoleon’s campaigns, you’d be hard pressed to find yourself in a state of disinterest, even without the clown-car variety of performers set to congregate on the differing stages.
With a line-up including the likes of the celestial Babe Rainbow and the 8-bit circuit liquidating Snapped Ankles; passing on this opportunity and/or failing to buy a ticket in time to see this unique roster in the flesh will no doubt haunt your existence in the cosmos for as long as tie dye t-shirts remain vaguely associated with counter culture.
Courtney Barnett, Goat Girl, The Lovely Eggs, Temples and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs are the bill-toppers this time, all perennial Silent Radio favourites.
