The Novus
Rising Midlands indie-punks The Novus have unveiled ‘Castaway’.
Produced by Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studios, the track, taken from their forthcoming debut EP, ’Thaleia Standing’, is heavily themed around the current generation’s struggle with taking the time to care for themselves and their wellbeing in the same way that they do for others, the track looks to embody the notion that it is totally normal to have dark days.
The band explain:
“This is something very close to home for us, growing up in a small town and being outlandish in what we wear, the way we look – male fragility & xenophobia as a whole is almost embedded in schools, jobs and the ‘everyman’. ‘Castaway’ is our take on what’s more important than the syllabus, these real life lessons that need teaching & the things we all wish we’d known earlier.”
